The Festival of the Future:

Leading innovators are partnering with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) to present the Festival of the Future, a groundbreaking two-day event. Held on Friday, 14th, and Saturday, 15th March 2025, at RIBA’s London headquarters, 66 Portland Place, the festival promises to inspire and empower the next generation of architects and built environment professionals from all backgrounds.

What is the Festival of the Future?

The Festival of the Future is a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to showcase the diverse pathways into careers within the built environment. By engaging young people, children, and adults from London and beyond, the festival will deliver creative workshops, educational talks, and hands-on experiences for participants aged 0 to 25.

The festival focuses on key milestones in education—from sparking inspiration in primary school children to making informed GCSE choices, preparing for university through A-levels, exploring internships, and learning about architectural apprenticeships. Attendees will participate in creative workshops, engage in thought-provoking debates, and gain valuable insights into opportunities in architecture and the built environment, equipping them to imagine and shape the cities of tomorrow.

This is more than an event—it’s a movement to inspire young people from diverse backgrounds to see themselves shaping the cities of tomorrow.
